The first think to look at if you
are skying the ball is how high you tee the golf ball.
If you’ve got the ball teed up so that when it’s up against the face
of the club you can see the complete golf ball above the head of the club, well
there’s a good chance you’re going to sky the ball.
You’re going to have to come up and make such an upward blow on it that
you need to have a swing fault to do
that.
So make sure you’ve got the ball teed up so that roughly about half the golf ball is showing over the top of the club face. It depends really how you strike the ball and the size of the club head, but normally about half the golf ball sitting over the top of the golf club, or maybe just a touch more is ideal.
