Firstly, try to carry fewer clubs.
Remember that most of us have to
carry our clubs through the winter as trolleys are banned.
An ideal half set to take would be
a 3 and 5 or 7 woods, 5, 7, 9 irons, pitching wedge / sand wedge and putter.

Another good tip is to think about
a softer compression ball than you use in the summer, as the cooler weather
makes it harder to compress the ball.
Always make sure your studs are
renewed for winter golf as, when the ground gets muddy, you need more grip when
swinging.
With only using a half set of clubs another good tip I recommend is to get a micro light stand bag, which is super light and has a built-in stand to keep your clubs off the wet or cold ground.
